The cuisine in Seychelles is a fusion of flavours from
African, French, Chinese, Indian and English cooking. Most of Seychellois
cooking is based os seafood and chillies.
There are 10 different varieties of
chilli, each with a distinc flavour. The roasted and fish is served with fruits
and vegetables, the ingredients are brought directly from the garden.
Coconut and breadfruit are also two traditional bases
for many Seychellois dishes, the coconut milk, meat and heart of the palm tree
are used in most recipes.
Breadfruit and rice are the staple food and are eaten
at every meal by the local people.
Extracting the coconut milk has very careful process
because it is based on the most dishes.
Smoked and grilled fish are one of the most desired
dishes in restaurants and are served in different forms to attract customers.
Drinks are mostly delicious combinations of tropical
fruits.
